Alkaline Diet – Its Connection with Ancient Ghanaian and Current Relevance
In ancient Ghana, people were largely dependent upon fresh and raw foods which were the secret of their longer life. Their ages use to last for as long as 100, 120, and even 150 years. But current research shows that chronic diseases are on the high rise resulting in early death in Ghana. The main reason behind these deaths is the wrong diet and unhealthy lifestyle followed by Ghanaians.
Early Ghanaian Diet as the Secret of Long Life
In ancient Ghana, people largely use to consume soups which plantain, cassava, fermented corn dough, boiled yam, and locally grown rice. They used to make soup with light palm nut or groundnut or peanut. Occasionally, some fish were added to the soup which was then eaten with rice or potatoes. Other foodstuffs of early Ghanaian include onions, pepper, tomatoes, ginger, kwaw nsusuaa, kontomire, mango, soursop, custard apple avocado, orange, banana, fig, papaya, coconut, watermelon, mashed rice balls with groundnuts, fried plantain, bean sauce, hot pepper sauce, etc. In other words, people in ancient Ghana were enjoying a rich diet with healthy foods.

They are putting off their rich culture of consuming raw plant-based food aside.
As more people are shifting towards unhealthy food options inclusive of:-

My Grandfather-My Role Model
My grandfather lived for 120 years and the secret of his life was the food he ate. All through his life, he believes in eating food made from God directly, without the help of man. He used to consume only alkaline food and was alien to sugar, salt, or any flour product. He was a farmer by occupation which means he had a strenuous workout routine throughout a day that used to begin walking early in the morning to his field.
After reaching his field, he used to weed and do other farming-related activities on his farm. He never uses any chemicals (pesticides, insecticides, or weedicides) on his farm which ensured completely organic food from his field. His food mainly consisted of fresh fruits and vegetables grown on his farm.
He never knew of a refrigerator or microwave and always used natural ways of storing his food. However, consuming fresh food from his farm was his priority, always.
He never used any western medicine on his farm or for his health look after. He believed that due to the nature of medicines, they always tend to have an unintended effect on humans, plants, and microorganisms in the environment.
But in today’s Ghana, we classify people who consume naturally grown alkaline foods as an uncivilized genre. And those, who eat unhealthy processed food, are considered as highly civilized and educated populations.

My Story of Introduction to Dr. Sebi’s Diet
I have experienced long years of sickness consuming a lot of acidic food. However, I was then advised of my grandfather, Dr. Sebi, and other nutritional experts to shift to a plant-based diet.
My grandfather before his death always advised me to eat like a sheep. His advice implied that I should be eating a more plant-based diet to stay healthy. He promoted his dietary fact by encouraging including a lot of fruits and vegetables in my daily diet, in the raw form, to rectify the pH balance of my body and reverse diseases existing in it.
Now I have been on the plant died for the last past 5 years and my life has changed for good from inside. Today I enjoy a disease-free body that is achievable with the help of an alkaline diet. I have been following and advocating my fitness mantra to a million others.
My Daily Schedule
Besides depending upon alkaline plant-based diet, my daily schedule includes a lot of physical exercises (at least 45 minutes to one hour of jogging daily), drinking a lot of alkaline water, readings at least for 1 hour (as food for the mind), and listening to audio books while jogging that refreshes my mind and my soul.
Drinking at least one gallon of alkaline water per day is an indispensable part of my daily routine. My breakfast and lunch consist of raw food mostly and if I have to consume cooked food, I couple it with a lot of raw food to balance my diet and prepare my stomach for cooked food.
I don’t prefer eating in the evening. In case I have to eat, it’s all raw food which I consume at least 4 hours before going to sleep to aid its digestion in the stomach.
